Terms of Service

Haeso is a product of Docomo. Effective date: 1 June 2025. Governing law: Laws of the Republic of Ghana.

1.Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using Haeso as a guest, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2.What Haeso is

Haeso is a tariff classification assistance tool designed for Ghana's HS10 code schedule as used in the ICUMS customs system. It helps users narrow ambiguous item descriptions to likely HS code candidates to support the classification process.

Haeso is a decision-support tool. It does not replace the professional judgement of a licensed clearing agent, freight forwarder, or customs officer. It does not constitute legal, customs, or tax advice.

3.Who may use Haeso

Access to Haeso is currently by invitation only. You must be invited or approved by Docomo to create a registered account. Guest access is available subject to usage limits set by us.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Haeso. By using the platform you confirm you meet this requirement.

4.Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.

You must provide accurate information when registering. If your details change, you are responsible for updating them.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these terms or used the platform in a way that is fraudulent, abusive, or harmful.

5.Acceptable use

You agree to use Haeso only for lawful purposes in connection with legitimate customs classification and freight forwarding activities.

You must not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or extract our classification data, alias database, or scoring logic
  • Use automated tools to scrape, bulk-query, or systematically extract data from the platform
  • Upload invoices or data that belong to a third party without authorisation
  • Use the platform to facilitate fraudulent customs declarations or undervaluation of goods
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
  • Upload malicious files or attempt to compromise platform security

6.Classification results and accuracy

HS code suggestions generated by Haeso are based on our tariff database and classification logic as at the date of your query. They are provided for reference only.

You remain solely responsible for:

  • Verifying the accuracy of any HS code before submitting it to ICUMS or any other customs system
  • Ensuring your customs declarations comply with Ghana's Customs Act and all applicable regulations
  • Any penalties, duties, demurrage costs, or seizures arising from incorrect classification

Docomo makes no warranty that any HS code suggestion is accurate, complete, or fit for use in a specific customs declaration. Classification rules change. Duty rates change. Chapter notes and ICUMS system requirements may differ from what is reflected in the platform at any time.

7.Invoice and shipment data

By uploading invoices, packing lists, or other documents to Haeso, you confirm that you have the right to upload and process that data on this platform.

We will handle your uploaded data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share individual shipment data or unit prices with Ghana Revenue Authority, ICUMS, or any government body unless required by law.

8.Intellectual property

All classification logic, alias data, scoring models, and platform software are the property of Docomo. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose.

You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform or its underlying data without our written permission.

9.Service availability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep Haeso available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be taken offline for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.

During the current invite-only phase, features, limits, and access conditions may change without prior notice.

10.Fees and billing

Haeso is currently available to invited users at no charge. If we introduce paid tiers, we will give you reasonable notice and obtain your agreement before charging you.

11.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Docomo shall not be liable for:

  • Any incorrect customs classification made using Haeso
  • Any financial loss, penalties, demurrage, or seizure arising from reliance on platform output
  • Any loss of data, business interruption, or consequential loss

Our total liability to you in connection with these terms shall not exceed the fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or GHS 500, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12.Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Docomo and its personnel from any claims, losses, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of Haeso, your violation of these terms, or your submission of incorrect data to ICUMS or any customs authority.

13.Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Haeso at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these terms or if we decide to discontinue the service.

You may stop using Haeso at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us as set out in section 15.
